Admitting your own flaws is tough. Perhaps it’s the shame of acknowledging you aren’t perfect, or competition to keep up with a world obsessed with perfection. This year I had to face my own flaws as I transitioned from being a full time student into the life of a “grown up.” I realized I was a workaholic, I didn’t have healthy eating habits and sleep was always on the bottom of my list of priorities.
Luckily, my time with Three Girls Media has allowed me the opportunity to work directly with local health experts at Healing Tortoise Acupuncture and Herbs. Owned and operated by Moses and Julie Jenkins, who met while undergoing rigorous training in Eastern medicine, Healing Tortoise is committed to providing natural healing for patients from all walks of life. After listening to a thorough history of my health and lifestyle, Julie developed a customized plan for me that involved using acupuncture, quality herbs and auricular therapy to continue healing long past the visit.
Despite having a stressful day ahead of me following my visit, my acupuncture experience with Healing Tortoise left me feeling revived and restored from within. Their scenic location in the Green Lake neighborhood of Seattle provided an instant escape from the urban environment that makes up most of the city. My energy was high and my mood was substantially improved, without the use of anything but natural healing tools and practices.
