  1. Answer Questions and Comments

Responding to customers in a fast and helpful manner is a sure fire way to develop a great reputation. Whether it is to address a complaint or say thank you for kind words, always respond to social media interaction.

  1. Pass the Re-share Test

When creating or posting content to your profiles, make sure it is worthy of people’s time and attention. Think to yourself, “Would I share this if I saw it?” Make your profile interesting to anyone who looks at it.

  1. Build A Reciprocal Network

After passing the re-share test, make sure you are also sharing! This is another method to building positive relationships with followers. Just remember that what you share reflects your company, even if you didn’t write it.

  1. Ride the Trends

Participate in what is popular on social media. If applicable, add a #ThrowBackThursday picture or share a meme that is especially funny. Adding yourself to what is trending can help your audience grow.

  1. Test Everything

There are many different suggestions for what time to post content and how long it should be. While these guidelines are helpful when starting out, no one can tell you what works better than your readers. Track when your content has the highest engagement and when it doesn’t.
