What Is It?

The Interagency Committee of State Employed Women (ICSEW) seeks to better the lives of state-employed women through advocacy, outreach and opportunity. ICSEW is made up of several subcommittees, including:

  • Communications
  • Conference
  • Legislative & Policy
  • Membership
  • Mentorship
  • Professional Development
  • Public Outreach
  • Partnerships

As a policy advising body, ICSEW works with the Governor and other agencies to enact desirable changes to laws and programs related to education, training, career development and employment. In the past, ICSEW has worked on the Equal Pay Opportunity Act, Family Medical Leave, the Statewide Agency Mentorship Program and more.

ICSEW also hosts regular member meetings as well as an annual conference and provides free or low-cost professional development opportunities to its members, such as career fairs and innovative seminars.

Members also get the chance to be leaders within ICSEW. They can participate in subcommittee work, develop policy recommendations, volunteer in community service projects and more.
