Chirpify
Chirpify is a social commerce and payments company. With one Tweet you can buy or sell whatever it is you’re pushing. Here’s how Chirpify works; you sign up for the service and sync it to your PayPal account. Sellers offer stuff for sale on Twitter or Instagram, you reply with the word “buy” and it’s yours. No credit card, no proceed to checkout or add to cart. The entire transaction is conducted through your Twitter account.
What Makes It Stand Apart? Well, the fact is there is nothing else like Chirpify out in the social media world. Chirpify transforms social media networks from broadcast to transactional. Apart from buying and selling, it can also be used for fundraising, giveaways and even peer-to-peer payments. Chirpify is free to use but takes a 5% cut anytime you get paid.
deviantART
deviantART was created in August 2000 as a way to entertain, inspire and empower artists. It has grown to be the largest online social network for artists and art enthusiasts with over 26 million registered members and 65 million unique page views a month. deviantART allows emerging and established artists to exhibit, promote, and share their original art works within a peer community.
What Makes It Stand Apart? deviantART is dedicated to the arts and has teamed up with brands and businesses like comic book publishers to give amateur illustrators a chance to create stories. A recent study by iAcquire shows that 80% of deviantART users are 18 to 29 years old. The report suggested these late teens and 20-somethings are losing interest in Facebook and searching for sites such as deviantART.
While all these networks are still in the beginning stages, it’s a good idea to keep your eye on the trends. Knowing what’s out there and what could be the next big thing could help you stay ahead of the game and give your business an edge among the rest.
