Facebook is now 10 years old and it has arguably changed the world. These days most small businesses who have utilized Facebook advertising credit it with significantly helping their growth.

It doesn’t matter if you personally are using Facebook or not, because your customers are, with over 110 million daily mobile users alone. Your customers already see their favorite companies on the right banner and in their news feed, so your business should be present as well.

Let your customers know about your Facebook across platforms!

Let your customers know about your Facebook across platforms!

Check out these steps for making your brand’s presence larger on Facebook.

  1. Announce your new Facebook advertising page widely: Put the Facebook logo on store inserts, in your newspaper ad and on your business’ website! Maybe make a bigger statement by premiering a new product or deal in your Facebook ads. This may entice those who see it to like your page if  it is a useful resource.
  2. Incentivize your customers: Offering your Facebook fans coupons or deals exclusively through Facebook may entice new fans to like your page. Encourage them to “share” the deal with their friends to increase your number of “likes,” as well as sell more items or give away more coupons. As long as your incentive is interesting, x like breaking news of specials or previews of new products, your customers will interact.
  3. Engage with your customers: After your loyal following has been established through Facebook advertising, you can create a conversation with them on your Facebook page. You can do this by asking questions, responding to their comments and thanking them for their ideas or suggestions. Interacting with your customers will show them that you care and they will know that you’re taking their comments and concerns seriously.
  4. Reward those sharing your brand: Some of your customers will interact more than others and will serve as brand ambassadors. Thank these individuals publicly and send them rewards for their loyalty. These brand ambassadors spread the news of your company being trustworthy and credible which is a great asset.

Facebook is a useful resource for your customers to see that your company is one whom they can rely on and trust. Do you have any other tips for helping a small business succeed in their Facebook marketing approach? Share in the comments below!
